Memorial Capsule was created using the branch of an Aspen Tree.  Areas of the capsule have been filled with a turqoise powder and sealed into the wood.
 
Aspen Capsules are the focus of Whispering Paws.  The Aspen is from dead or found Colorado Aspen Tree branches and dried before turning it.  It was turned on a lathe after the piece was prepared by cutting, drilling, inserting copper insert and placed on the lathe.  The lathe is a machine which turns the piece and carved by a craftperson.  Often it is the wood that speaks to the turner and the completed piece ends up as a one of a kind piece.  
 
We can try to replicate a piece you love, but the wood piece and the turning will dictate the finished product.  We will try to turn the piece as close to what you picked out.  All pieces end up a beutiful capsules, as the aspen pieces are chosen very carefully.
